I've always been fascinated by the experience of pain, and this image is the beginning of a poorly planned project about it. I'm fortunate enough to have quite a few friends who put up with my strange bullshit and don't mind modeling for me (thanks, Keith.) Looking at this picture now makes me a bit uncomfortable. However, it is helping me overcome the feelings of fear and discomfort that I often experience when interacting with people in a studio setting, and in the rest of my life. So here it is.
